This presentation provides an overview of the most common reproductive diseases in rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, guinea pigs and rodents. Although neoplasia of the reproductive system is often considered a primary differential in exotic companion mammals, there are many other causes or reproductive disease. Other reproductive conditions include infection, inflammation, vascular disorders, cystic ovarian disease, pregnancy and birth complications and endometritis. This lecture will explain how to systematically diagnose the patient using current testing modalities. Treatment will be discussed that include both medical and surgery options. Specific clinical cases will be presented to show species specific trends.
