This presentation will describe the successful surgical management of the raillietielliasis, a pulmonary infestation of the pentastome, Raillietiella orientalis. Raillietieliasis is an emerging disease initially described as a fatal condition limited to wild snakes in Florida but has recently been detected in the North American pet trade. This parasite will likely spread throughout North America and early detection and management by veterinarians is needed for resolution.
