It is a common misconception that emergencies do not exist in reptile medicine. While many are acute manifestations of chronic disease, there are true emergencies as well. This lecture will cover how to triage an emergent reptile patient, how to gather necessary history and husbandry information, perform a physical exam, and stabilize critical patients. It will also cover diagnostic tests that can be completed once the patient is more stable.
