We have the ability to practice high quality medicine from a pain management perspective at all of our practices. This lecture discusses how to use what drugs you have at your practice in the most effective way based on current literature. This includes local anesthetics (what agents and when), pain management constant rate infusions (what combos seem to work best), and a deep dive on nutraceuticals. Participants will be able to explain indications, dosing, and monitoring requirements for commonly used CRIs Participants will be able to summarize the evidence supporting gabapentin and nutraceuticals in veterinary pain management in chronic pain management Participants will be able to enhance their dental blocks and understand use of dental blocks in non-dental procedures
