Dermatologic disease is treated almost daily in every practice. Acute and chronic skin disease leads to pain as well as some leading to pruritis. Dermatological conditions can result in mild to severe pain requiring different levels of pain management. This lecture will discuss skin sensation and pathophysiology of dermatological pain. Painful dermatological conditions that are pruritic in nature as well as burns, and necrotizing fasciitis will be highlighted. Learning objectives: 1.
