TL-IVDE is a common cause of pain and weakness that can occasionally be life-threatening. This talk will discuss the clinical characteristics of TL-IVE, and the recommendation from the ACVIM consensus statement on the indications for medical vs. surgical management, prognosis (including recognition of progressive myelomalacia), and current evidence for optimal medical management. Objective: Attendees emerge confident in their ability to recognize and optimally treat TL-IVD.
