This lecture will overview common diseases seen with reptile and amphibian disease based on information seen by wildlife veterinarians and licensed rehabilitators. The lecture serves to empower more clinicians to become familiar with native wildlife disease and disease threats, and to become an informed member of the medical care response for native chelonian species. An overview how basic diagnostics, treatment approaches, and safe quarantine and temporary housing for herptiles that need medical care for recovery. A reference list will be provided for independent study and articles available at request onsite.
