Elective altering surgery is a common procedure for exotic companion mammals. This presentation will review current surgical techniques for elective altering. The varying anatomy often requires a different surgical approach for each species. Learning multiple surgical approaches allows flexibility, especially when encountering abnormalities, such as retained testicles or uterine/ovarian pathology.
