Description
Spaying and neutering dogs is a highly effective method for reducing overpopulation. Worldwide, reproductive sterilization is the most common surgical procedure performed. With advances in anesthetic and surgical techniques, spaying and neutering can be performed in as early as 5-6 weeks old of age. The long-term health benefits of spaying and neutering in the pediatric, pre-pubertal, and post-pubertal dogs will be discussed.
