The cost of repeated surgeries for foreign body obstruction can result in euthanasia for both dogs and cats. This presentation will review some of the recent research regarding the many possible causes of pica, both medical and behavioral, as well as provide suggestions for additional diagnostics and client education so as to prevent future obstructions.
