Learn how to maximize patient survival during cardiopulmonary arrest by training on the simulator and completing the RECOVER CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Life Support (ALS) Rescuer Certification (newly updated CPR guidelines in 2024)! Through the efforts of over 100 veterinary specialists, an evidence-based veterinary CPR guideline was created and made available. The RECOVER initiative directs its efforts at regularly updating the clinical guidelines, providing effective training and certification in a standardized method of performing veterinary CPR, and guiding research in veterinary resuscitation. This course will review key concepts and provide practical training using simulated scenarios of BLS. The ALS training is conducted with veterinary-specific simulation software coupled with a high-fidelity canine simulator mannequin. Completion of the Rescuer BLS/ALS live-training modules takes approximately 6 hours with an assessment simulation included at the conclusion of the hands-on workshop.
