Name
Surgery of the Skull of the Rabbit Patient
Date & Time
Saturday, March 29, 2025, 11:20 AM - 12:10 PM
Description

Numerous conditions of the skull of rabbits benefit from surgical treatment. These conditions include severe dental disease, severe nasal cavity disease, and disease of the ear. For many rabbits with dental, nasal or ear disease, medical management alone may not be adequate for control or resolution of the condition. Abscesses, which are common in the rabbit patient, tend to produce marked osteomyelitis, for which surgical therapy is often indicated. This lecture will present common clinical conditions in the rabbit in which surgery can be used as a treatment tool. Surgical anatomy and options for surgical approaches will be discussed.
