An explanation of basic triage and emergency care for exotic animals in the ER. It will cover birds, reptiles, and small mammals most commonly seen. Descriptions of how to get a history and vitals, set up caging, ICU monitoring, and how to obtain blood/radiographs/other common diagnostics. Including extra tips for pets of extreme sizes and housing requirements, untamed animals, and explain when to accept or not accept certain species based on the individual hospital's equipment and trained staff available.
