Nashville Wildlife Conservation launched a physical therapy program for Eastern Box Turtles (Terrapene carolina carolina) patients in 2020. These patients were admitted into the hospital with hind-end paresis or paralysis after spinal trauma from lawnmowers or car strikes. Most patients were released with greater than 90% use of their hind legs. Background information, physical therapy techniques, and considerations for these patients will be covered.
