Ambulatory practice is an ideal scenario for many aquatics veterinarians, as it can be challenging to transport many of our patients safely into a clinic setting. Establishing an aquatics mobile practice requires planning but does not have to be intimidating. Recommendations for equipment and startup will be discussed, as will methods for adapting gold standard medicine to a field setting. Benefits of ambulatory practice, including patient safety and ease of recovery for field surgery, will be covered as well.
