Dr. Littman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine biology from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa and his DVM from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Upon graduation, he achieved certification as an aquatic animal veterinarian from the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association (WAVMA). He completed a small-animal rotating internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island and continued to work in emergency medicine at the same practice before accepting an aquatic animal medicine fellowship at the University of California at Davis followed by an aquatic animal medicine internship at Sea World San Diego. He became the staff veterinarian at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ in 2022.
