Dr. Palmeiro attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania where he also completed a rotating internship in small animal
medicine and surgery and a residency in dermatology and allergy. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and
has a master’s degree in fisheries and aquatic sciences from the University of Florida. Dr. Palmeiro founded Pet Allergy & Dermatology
Specialists in Allentown, PA, where he also established one of the nation’s only pet fish hospitals, and directs a veterinary dermatology
residency program. He is a certified aquatic veterinarian, an adjunct professor at Rowan University, and a member of the ACVD Education
Committee.
