Dr. Banta-Long grew up in northwest Indiana in a small midwestern town, Porter. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. Last year, Dr. Banta-Long joined the team at the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital as an exotic specialty intern and is currently their newest ECM resident. She has a particular interest in prevention medicine and surgery for all exotic species. Other interests include horse riding, reading, hiking and backpacking, exploring restaurants, and travelling. Dr. Banta-Long lives with her dog (Tigger), crested gecko (Steve) and three African Dwarf frogs.
