Description
This presentation will briefly review snake ophthalmology and their unique anatomic structures. Common causes for pseudobuphthalmos in snakes and treatment options will also be discussed. Two cases of snakes with chronic pseudobuphthalmia that were resolved with a conjunctivoralostomy procedure will be reviewed. The cases involve a 13 year old female California Kingsnake and a 3.5 year old unknown sex Amazon Tree Boa. The treatment options, diagnostics, procedure, follow up visits, and progress photos for both cases will be examined.
