Description
Surgical intervention to manage disease involving snakes can be performed routinely in general practice. The objective of this laboratory is to introduce and expose clinicians to the different surgical techniques frequently utilized in snakes. Learn and perform the following techniques during this four hour laboratory, celiotomy, surgical intravenous catheter placement, tracheal resection and anastomosis, lung biopsies, intestinal resection and anastomosis, gonadectomy, colopexy, enucleation, tail amputation, and vertebral body biopsy. Clinicians will leave this laboratory feeling confident in performing these procedures in daily practice.
