Auto-Vaccination in Veterinary Medicine: An Emerging Approach
Description

. While auto-vaccination has been explored in human medicine, its application in veterinary medicine presents intriguing possibilities, particularly for treating chronic or recurrent infections that may not respond well to traditional vaccines. Auto-vaccination holds great promise as an innovative tool in veterinary medicine, particularly for treating persistent infections, allergies, and immune-related conditions. While it offers personalized, potentially more effective alternatives to traditional vaccines, there are still hurdles to overcome in terms of safety, cost, and regulatory approval. As research progresses, it may become an important part of the veterinary toolkit, offering more tailored and effective treatments for animals in need. In this lecture we present three clinical cases with chronic infections and positive outcomes in senior rabbits.
