Bladder stones, sludge and grit are common findings in guinea pigs presenting on emergency. Most stones are calcium carbonate in composition, but the advice being given to owners is still centered around prevention of calcium oxalate stones. In this talk we will discuss calcium carbonate stones, their causes and prevention.
