Explore the vast diversity of reptile reproductive medicine! Learn to integrate a comprehensive reproductive assessment into your everyday practice for your reptile patients and add to your skillset as a clinician by learning advanced and novel reproductive techniques. This laboratory will revisit basic reproductive concepts including comparative anatomy and physiology, sexing, and various medical and surgical techniques for managing reproductive cases. Advanced diagnostics introduced and practiced during the laboratory include ultrasonography, endoscopy, and gamete collection. In addition to these topics, novel surgical techniques and irreversible/reversible contraception options will be discussed. Attendees will be provided the opportunity to practice many of these techniques with cadavers.
