Description

The urinary tract is a common site of disease primarily in reptiles and amphibians, and urinary tract disease can be a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in these species. This lecture will review gross and microscopic lesions in the reptile and amphibian urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder [if applicable], and urodeum) important for the exotics clinician to be aware of and recognize. Submission of this abstract was requested by Drs. Wyneken and Heatley to accompany their master classes on the urinary system.
