Dr. Margherita De Silva graduated in Veterinary Medicine with honors in Bologna, Italy, in 2018 with an experimental thesis on reference echocardiographic values in guinea pigs, published in the “Journal of Veterinary Cardiology” in 2020. She obtained the title of Doctor of Research (PhD) in Veterinary Sciences in 2021 at the Anatomy service of the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Bologna. She is author of 24 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, speaker at national and international conferences, university lecturer, and co-supervisor of several degree theses. She obtained the General Practitioner Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice in 2022. She is currently attending the second level university Master's degree in Reproduction, Pathology and Therapy of Exotic Animals at the University of Parma and has started the residency of the American College in Zoological Medicine. She has been collaborating with the Centro Veterinario Specialistico of Rome at the exotic and unconventional animal medicine service since November 2022.
