Pain management is an important part of any peri-operative protocol. In addition, an increasing number of shelter and community animals with chronic painful conditions are being managed by today's shelter and community medicine veterinarians. Fortunately, there are an increasing number of pain management techniques and options for every budget. This session will describe cost effective strategies for managing acute and chronic pain in a shelter, HQHVSN, and community clinic environment.
