Cari Anderson attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2003 and went on to complete a small animal medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, New York. The majority of her 22 year career has been spent working as a small animal emergency veterinarian in various specialty and referral practices. She is a certified pet loss counselor, and founded a pet loss support group which she led for nine years. She is currently employed as an emergency clinician at Colorado Animal Specialty and Emergency and recently achieved her career-long goal of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice. In her free time, Cari enjoys all of the outdoor activities a life in Colorado provides. Her husband and two border collie mixes constantly keep her entertained and she spends as much time in the mountains with them as she can.
