Speaker Bio
Dr. Cooper Brookshire is a faculty member at Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and an ABVP Founding Fellow in Emergency Practice. He holds board certifications in Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Veterinary Epidemiology, and in ABVP Canine and Feline Practice. He is a member of AVMA’s Committee on Antimicrobials. Dr. Brookshire's primary career focus is advancing our understanding of antibiotic-resistant pathogens and improving clinical management to prevent and manage these infections. His clinical, research, and teaching interests include antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial resistance, epidemiology, One Health, emergency medicine, and biosecurity.
