Description

The veil between global and local reptile interface is nearly nonexistent and the reality of pathogen spillover burdens wildlife veterinarians, pathologists, public health specialists and reptile practitioners alike. In this talk, we will review the current state of reptile conservation and global challenges, the impacts of global trade as a major exporter and importer of non-native species, review infectious and non-infectious drivers of population threats, and end with a literature review of infectious disease updates that impact local practitioners.
