Dr. Heather Bjornebo earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from South Dakota State University and her DVM from Iowa State University. She is board-certified in Reptile and Amphibian Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and holds a Certification in Aquatic Veterinary Medicine (CertAqV) from the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association. After moving to Arizona in 2007, she transitioned to practicing exclusively exotic animal medicine in 2012. In November 2024, she opened Tree of Life Exotic Pet Medical Center, an exotic-exclusive practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Her primary interests include reptile urogenital surgery and nutrition, and she frequently lectures on exotic animal medicine.
