Dr. Gibbons earned his DVM at University of Illinois and completed a residency and MS degree at UC-Davis. He has worked in clinical practice and on five continents with government wildlife agencies and NGOs. He is an Associate Editor of the JHMS and a founding Diplomate of the ABVP Reptile and Amphibian specialty. He is a past-president of the ARAV and serves on the Species Survival Commission of the IUCN.
