Sarah Ozawa received her DVM from the University of Wisconsin. She completed a small animal
rotating internship at the University of Tennessee and a residency at the University of California-Davis. She became board certified by ACZM in 2020 and is currently an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include characterization and treatment of cardiovascular disease in zoological companion animals.

has a master’s degree in fisheries and aquatic sciences from the University of Florida. Dr. Palmeiro founded Pet Allergy & Dermatology
Specialists in Allentown, PA, where he also established one of the nation’s only pet fish hospitals, and directs a veterinary dermatology
residency program. He is a certified aquatic veterinarian, an adjunct professor at Rowan University, and a member of the ACVD Education
Committee.
