Dr. Jessica Koppien-Fox (Dr Fox) is a mixed-animal veterinarian based in southwestern Minnesota
with expertise in aquatic animal medicine, most notably shrimp! She is an associate at Marshall
Animal Clinic and is the founder of Fins, Feathers, Fur & Fetlocks Veterinary Consulting, serving
aquaculture, aquarium, zoo, and backyard poultry clients.
Dr. Fox brings over 20 years of experience in research and development within the human food
industry, livestock feed and aquaculture industries with a focus on gut health and science driven
natural solutions. She is actively involved in organized veterinary medicine through national and
state leadership, including two terms of service on the AVMA Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Committee.
Dr. Fox earned her DVM and MPH from the University of Minnesota and has completed extensive
advanced training in aquatic animal health.
