Dr. Lindsey Elswick graduated from Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She moved back to her home state of West Virginia and practiced for 3 years at a GP and 24/7 ER clinic, focusing on providing care to all exotic species. In 2024, she moved to Richmond, Virginia where she currently resides and practices at Wellesley Animal Hospital as an associate exotic veterinarian. Reptiles and amphibians are her favorite patients to see, but she loves all non-traditional species!

Dr. Ashley Emanuele graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from Roger Williams University in RI and worked as an aquatics curator at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences before attending NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine for her doctorate.
Since graduation, Ashley has worked in exotics-exclusive private practice and became North Carolina's first Certified Aquatic Veterinarian in 2017. She is a Past President of the American Association of Fish Veterinarians, and member of both the AVMA Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Committee and the ABVP-Fish Practice Organizing Committee. She is now building the exotics practice for an urgent care facility in Southern Pines, NC. In 2024 she became North Carolina's first boarded fish veterinarian through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and is one of 16 such veterinarians to hold the distinction currently. She juggles her clinical exotics work, teaching veterinarians and vet students frequently, and life with three young kids. In her spare time, Dr. Emanuele likes baking, hiking, talking to her chickens, gardening, reading with her kids, and sitting by the fire pit with her partner Heather.

Ruth Francis-Floyd is a professor and extension specialist for aquatic medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds a joint appointment in the Program in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, School of Forest Resources and Conservation and is an Affiliate Extension Specialist with Florida Sea Grant. Her area of expertise is production aquaculture and clinical fish medicine, but her extension and out reach efforts also include some marine mammal activities. She served as the Director of the Aquatic Animal Health program from 2004-2013 before returning to her role as an extension specialist. She currently coordinates the Residency Training program in Aquatic Animal Health that is accredited by the American College of Zoological Medicine. She also currently serves as Chairman of the Education Committee of the American Association of Fish Veterinarians.

She completed a small animal rotating internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center and an Avian and Exotics Specialty Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and a wildlife specialty internship with the National Wildlife Centre of Canada. She is currently completing an exotic companion mammal residency at Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of Indianapolis.

Dr. Molly Gleeson is a board-certified specialist in Zoological Companion Animal Medicine. She graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. From there, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Mesa, Arizona, and then an exotics specialty internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. She completed her Zoological Companion Animal Medicine & Surgery Residency at UC Davis and became board-certified with the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2019. After practicing for the last 4 years in Southern California, she has moved back to the bay to expand the available care for exotic pet patients and collaborate with veterinarians in the area. When not at work, Dr. Gleeson is often at home with her two cats and two guinea pigs.
