Sarah Ozawa received her DVM from the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Tennessee and then a residency in zoological companion animal medicine at the University of California-Davis. She became board certified by the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2020. She is currently an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include small mammal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

After my 2016 graduation, I immersed myself in the ever-changing world of Emergency Medicine, with a special interest in Exotic Animal husbandry and education. My journey has led me through 7 yrs. of ER work, an accredited Zookeeping internship in Nebraska, animal care opportunities with The Calgary Zoo, research work at the University of Alberta and most recently, my certification as a Master Herpetologist. I currently hold the position of Operations Manager with Animal HealthLink.

Sean Perry currently serves as an associate veterinarian at the Mississippi Aquarium and the contract veterinarian at the Baton Rouge Zoo. Sean earned his DVM from Western University of Health Sciences in 2013 and his PhD from Louisiana State University in 2020. His professional interests include theriogenology in zoological species, specifically reptiles and amphibians and aquatic animal medicine.

Then worked in the wildlife rescue center in Alfort and worked in Paris Zoo. 2009, completed an Exotic Medicine Internship at Tufts University, came back to France he created the Exotic Medicine Service in Alfort National Veterinary School. Diplomate of the ECZM (Small mammals), a former president of AEMV. 2023 Oxbow Quest Award. Current field of research are ear surgeries, flexible endoscopy and pain management in small mammals.
